An Australian freelance makeup artist has launched beauty junkie, a booking app to help users find their perfect ‘beauty pro’.
Stefanie Colella, and her husband Ashley Natoli, created the app to help users find a “professional rather than take a risk on an unknown provider whose work they have never seen”.
According to Stefanie, the app offers user the chance to select a beauty pro according to the service they are looking for – hair, make-up, hair and make-up, spray tanning, nails, lashes, brows, cosmetic tattooing, hair removal, aesthetics or barbering – and book the service.
She says the app also empowers freelancers to create, build and promote their brands, and thrive as independent businesses.
“The art of applying make-up and getting face-to-face with a client’s skin is an intimate process that deserves true personalisation.
“As the industry’s first application to acknowledge that, we pride ourselves on launching an easy-to-use, price effective all-in-one solution.
“Unlike other apps on the market, beauty junkie drives customers straight to your business. It does not act as a booking ‘agency’ that simply allocates work to whoever is available. Once a client books your business, they are then able to re-book with you, ultimately building loyalty.
“Each beauty freelancer has their own profile page on beauty junkie so that users can see your services, the products you use, understand your expertise, view your work, look at your price point and read your reviews.”
Stefanie says the app will drive clients directly to freelancers’ business profiles.
“The app will not only allow you to share, promote and grow your portfolio but also set your own availability and pricing whether you are on the road or in your studio.
“We want to help beauty professionals use the digital marketplace to connect and grow their businesses and beauty junkie offers even the smallest of operators the chance to build a successful and thriving beauty trade.”
