Eyeshadow palettes are the makeup equivalent of a box of chocolates: there’s always a few shades that never get touched!
Usually, it’s the bright colours that get left behind, even when we’re scooping up the last bits of neutral brown shades. While it’s true that vibrant shades can be a bit more tricky to apply, it’s not impossible to wear them. So, forget bright lips because its all about bold, strong and vibrant eyes.
Head into autumn with a coppery, pink hue eye shadow and it looks beautiful on any skin tone. There are different variations of brightness of copper, so finding the right shade is easy for anyone. For deeper skin tones use a brighter copper with more red or orange undertones. If it’s a more subtle or lighter copper shade, then it will look great on fair skin.
Diffuse the colour well across the lid and wear it a nude lip for daytime wearability!
Not sure what makeup shade to reach for when you’re wearing a colourful outfit? Just match it, and this season the colour everyone is talking about is violet! This shade suits all colours and is super wearable, not to mention utterly sexy.
Blue eye makeup isn’t just for ’80s flashback scenes in rom-coms. Instead of sweeping the blue shadow across her lids, give it a modern twist by using the shade for a graphic flick. For a more pigmented look, try dipping a damp angle brush into your eyeshadow.
Black eyeliner is taking a dramatic turn in 2018 (as seen at Marc Jacobs and a handful of other runway shows). Trace it thick around both lashlines, wing it out at a dramatic angle, or create graphic shapes with it—just don’t trace a thin line above your lashes and call it a day!
