For those who were wondering, Bella Hadid wants us all to know: she hasn’t had lip fillers.
In a new interview with InStyle, the model has opened up about her insecurities, being bullied at school and feeling self conscious about her face, sharing that although people might think she’s had surgery, she hasn’t.
“People think I’m very confident, but I really had to learn how to be,” Hadid shares. “People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling. I’m scared of putting fillers into my lips. I wouldn’t want to mess up my face.”
A side effect of being extraordinarily famous, Hadid’s face has been the subject of much scrutiny, with fans convinced the model has had a nose job and fillers—due in part to her feline-like features.
Admitting she’s never been one for make-up (until becoming the face of Dior Beauty) and was once a tomboy, Hadid also spoke about what it was like to be the younger sister to Gigi Hadid.
“I learned about beauty from my mom, though mostly in terms of skin care. She’s always said that good skin is so much more important than the stuff you put on top of it. My dad, meanwhile, never wanted us to wear makeup, so we didn’t. I rode horses, and my sister played volleyball. In my family, it wasn’t about how you looked; it was about how you competed,” she said.
First it was rumours about her relationship, and now this: Bella Hadid doesn’t have time for any lies, people.
